Austin adventures....

We went to Austin Texas and stayed with good friends while Russ did a CME (something for continuing education for residency) and got completely spoiled during our stay. Our friends really know how to give a tour around Austin (especially when it comes to food)!! So many amazing places to eat (note: amazing...we do live in small town G'wood..not too many options). Anyways, I now have many favorites after my visit and needless to say, none of these places exist where I live. So sad :( Here they are:

1. This place: hey cupcake! Amazing!!! I got the "Michael Jackson" cupcake...chocolate cake with cream cheese icing and a little whipper snapper (whipped cream injected in the middle of the cake). Not a Michael Jackson fan but the cupcake was delicious! And yes, it is in a little camper trailer!

2. Gotta love Whole Foods. There is one in Greenville but we don't get there often. However, the one in Austin is the Whole Foods Mecca! It is once again, AMAZING! You can even make your own peanut butter there. I love this place...



3. This organic sweet tea. It's so good!



4. Amy's Ice cream! So good! Lately, my favorite ice cream is chocolate or vanilla with sprinkles on it. Has to have the sprinkles.

I could really post so much more but I won't. This is enough for now. Anyways, here is a picture of all of us at the Austin rodeo...

let it snow....

We got snow!!! A lot of it (for us in the South that is)! It's not the first time since we've been here but its definitely the most. It was so pretty we had to take some pictures of our little snow cottage!
